We have just entered a new year of our lives. For some, it's a fresh start, that should be in a way for all of us. Leaving our burdens, hard times we faced, bad times, sad times. We should leave all that in 2013 and begin making new memories in 2014. If we held on to all the times I just mentioned, we wouldn't have enough room to remember all the good times that could happen in 2014.
In 2014 I have a big goal for myself that could possibly reduce all the burdens, hard times, bad times, sad times that may come. I know it's gonna seem like "you're just doing this because someone famous said she did it", but I am not. I liked what she had to say at Liberty Winterfest 2013, and everything that the pastors/speakers had to say went hand in hand in a fashion with what she had to say. It was Sadie Robertson from Duck Dynasty. She said "You have to be more confident in yourself. Being confident and not caring what others think allows you to have more fun. Live care free." (that may not have been her exact words, but it was pretty close.) I guess that is my new years resolution. **Believing I can do anything I set my mind to, and not caring what others think.**
If you need help releasing the past, a good influence is looking to the Bible. If you trust in it, you can just open it, but your finger somewhere, and read from it and it usually has something to help you push forward.
I had an influential thing too, John Luke, also from Duck Dynasty, said he took his Bible everywhere with him, and it was a great reminder to be Christ like. He said it is hard to get mad at a crazy driver when you have the Bible in the passenger seat.
*I also give props to Clayton King, he gave a good message the first night that sticks with me more than the second. It would take forever to write the story, but you may find a video of it on Liberty University's Winterfest site or on YouTube.
I say we all should be more confident in ourselves, that doesn't have to be your New Years Resolution, but I think if we were all a little more confident in ourselves, the world would work more smooth.
